Building Structure Type*
The
school building will be one unique type of the listed 7. Choose the most
appropriate.

Shack |
Any available material is randomly put together to make a
structure. Joined with no or a very low quality of mortar. |

Adobe/Mud |
Built with mud walls and mud mortar for joining. |

General Masonry |
ONLY Bricks /Stones /Blocks are purely used for walling.
Joined with cement mortar or equivalent. Concrete or Steel is
not used in walling at all.
These are generally Low rise structures. |

RCC Frame (Without Infill) |
A Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) skeleton with no (or very
thin) partition walls.
If partition walls exist, then they should not be directly
connected to the structural columns. If thick and connected
partition walls exist think about choosing the Hybrid structure
type. |

Hybrid (RCC and Masonry) |
A mix of RCC and Masonry structure.
Includes both 1) confined masonry type structures, or 2) RCC
Frame with infill walls type structures. |

Timber/Wood Frame |
A purely wooden structure. |
|
Steel Frame |
Any steel structure, or composite structure with steel as main
framing. |
